Country style in the interior of the house

Country simplicity and homeliness, inherent in the country style, create a feeling of warmth and bring back pleasant memories from childhood about the unforgettable time spent with my grandmother in the village. The most comfortable in such an environment will feel people who work a lot, as the country style creates all the conditions in order to relax and rest.

The main highlight of this style is a little outdated furniture, simple fabrics and inexpensive decor. Therefore, the main advantage of this style is the low cost of materials used in the design of the room.

Choosing a room for country style

This style is quite specific. Because of its special atmosphere, which is not suitable for every room, country is rarely found in the design of workrooms or children's rooms. This style will look much more appropriate in bedrooms, a guest room or in the kitchen.

Finishing materials

If you decide to give preference to the country style when decorating, you will be pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of materials that can be used to decorate the ceiling, walls and floor. In the case of the ceiling, wood or ordinary pastel colors are most often used. Many designers often use an element such as wooden beams - they look pretty impressive, but it’s very cozy.

For wall decoration, paper wallpapers with any simple patterns, flowers or stripes are suitable. Decorative plaster, brickwork, wood panels can also be used.
It is not recommended to cover the floors with a glossy laminate. Most likely it will look wooden or tiled floors. A carpet with a high pile may be a suitable decoration.

Country-style furniture and decor

A real find for country style will be old furniture stored in the attics, as well as sold in various "flea" markets. A bit shabby hardware with a minimal amount of decor will fit perfectly into the country design. You can use new furniture, but it should be as simple as possible - unpolished and, perhaps, even a little rude. These are large wooden tables, simple chairs and benches, sideboards, shelves. For the bedroom, you can use soft sofas with upholstery without a pattern, wicker chairs, ordinary chests of drawers and bedside tables. Some elements of furniture can be replaced by placing various antique chests on the floor.

The color scheme in the room should be done in bright, warm colors. It is undesirable to use catchy, bright colors. The best option is pastel colors, light blue and green colors, as well as shades of wood.

The interior of the country welcomes the abundance of various fabrics. The main rule is that they should all be natural. It can be linen, cotton or chintz - both monophonic and with a simple print in the form of a cage or strip. Tables are necessarily covered with tablecloths and decorated with fabric napkins, and sofas and chairs should have small decorative pillows.

Country style involves a small amount of decor. Several figurines , paintings, flower vases and ceramic plates as decoration will be enough.

Originating at the beginning of the 20th century, the country style is becoming more and more popular these days. This style creates a calm, warm atmosphere in the interior, in which everyone can feel easy and comfortable.

Whether cold foam mattress, innerspring or latex - each type of mattress has its specific properties, which are offered for both children's and adult mattresses . To make the decision easier, we compared a total of six models according to their properties:

Cold

- highly elastic
- breathable
- point elastic
- air permeable
- durable
- cheaper than latex

Spring core
- consisting of steel springs, wool, cotton and other materials

Pocket
spring core - structure similar to spring core, but the springs are individually packed, hence the name
- higher point elasticity than spring core
- more expensive than spring core

Natural mattresses
- filling made of different materials such as straw, wool or horsehair
- horsehair mattresses are particularly expensive but have the highest elasticity. They can absorb a lot of moisture
- straw
mattresses are extremely hard - natural mattresses filled with fur, are adaptable like sand, but they make it difficult to turn around because they do not offer any suspension

- Consist of thin layers of cotton and are additionally padded with fibers in Europe for more elasticity
- Models with latex, horsehair, sheep's wool or coconut fiber core are hard
- A soft mattress has to be rolled up every day to prevent hardening
- poor moisture regulation

Note the density of the mattresses

Especially in cold foam mattresses should be noted that the density of the mattress on the density , short-RG, is specified. When purchasing models with 45 to 55 kg per cubic meterto be favoured. Ideally, the mattresses are offered with adapted body zones for men and women, which take into account the different weight distribution between the sexes. In addition to the density and optimized zone distribution, you should also pay attention to the height of the mattress. It should be at least 14 centimeters. Basically, the higher the mattress, the higher the sleeping comfort. Many providers sell their mattresses at different heights. Among them is the German orthopedic specialist Ottobock, which presents a point-elastic cold foam mattress with a weight of 50 kg in the two heights of around 18 and 22 centimeters under the matrazzo® brand online and in a factory outlet in Duderstadt, Lower Saxony  .

Selection of mattress hardness

Whether a rather hard mattress or a softer alternative is ideal for back-friendly sleeping depends on several factors. Among other things, body weight and sleeping habits affect the demands placed on the mattress. For example, the sleeping pad for a 100 kg man with a preferred side position must have different properties than a mattress for a young person under 50 kg who likes to sleep on his stomach. The decisive factor when purchasing a new mattress is the degree of firmness. The following list provides information on the usual division of hardness into five levels. However, the data are only for orientation:

H1: Up to 60 kg body weight -> lying feeling soft
H2: 60-80 kg body weight -> lying feeling medium hard
H3: 80-100 kg body weight -> lying feeling hard
H4: from 100 kg body weight -> lying feeling very hard
H5: from 130 kg body weight - > Ultra hard lying feeling

Since in addition to body weight, body size also plays a role in the selection of the ideal degree of hardness, both data must always be included. The body mass index (BMI), which is calculated from these two variables, can therefore help to determine the appropriate degree of hardness. The integrated graphic from the mattress online retailer matrazzo® provides information about the respective mattress hardness that matches the corresponding BMI and assigns this value to the three hardness zones "soft", "medium" and "hard":

You can find out how the  BMI can be calculated on the website of the University of Hohenheim, for example.

If the wrong mattress hardness is selected, the spine suffers : While a soft mattress causes it to sag, the spine is bent if the surface is too hard. If the degree of hardness corresponds optimally to personal needs, the spine runs in a straight line from bottom to head.

Important: trial love!

Regardless of whether you buy your mattress in brick-and-mortar stores or online: Be sure to try out the model that turns out to be the best mattress when comparing. This is the only way to determine whether the pad has the correct hardness and optimally relieves your spine. Regarding the degree of hardness, you can use the rule of thumb to guide yourself that the mattress should be harder with a higher body weight, softer alternatives are generally the better choice for lighter people. Remember that the degrees of hardness are not standardized. Therefore there can be differences between mattress retailers. Therefore, never rely on the information, but only consider it as an aid.
